1 Staple Rayon Fibre
Formerly this only referred to waste resulting from the processing of long filament rayon. Rayon staple fibre is now specially manufactured on a large scale similar to that for the making of long filament rayon up to the process of spinning, after which it is cut into staple lengths suitable for spinning either on cotton, woollen or worsted spinning machinery. Rayon staple fibre is produced in bright and dull qualities, and in various denier sizes. Usual sizes in commercial use in this country are 1.25 denier and 1.5 denier filament thickness and 17/8-in. and 17/16 -in. staple for spinning on cotton machinery or mixing with cotton; 3, 4.5 and 8 denier filaments of 3-in., 4-in., 6-in., and 8-in. staple for blending with wool.Dictionary of the English textile terms > Staple Rayon Fibre

12 Ltnters
The first ginning of cotton from the field gives cotton of normal staple, but short hairs are still attached to the seed and these are removed by a second ginning and are termed linters. These are too short in staple for spinning, and some is used for wadding for cushions, mattresses, etc. Considerable quantities are pulped and subsequently made into writing paper, rayon, explosives, varnishes, twine, wicks, etc. Linter fibre varies considerably in length, and ranges from 1/8-in. to 1/2-in. It is similar to immature or undeveloped cotton fibre, being light and weak in body and staple. The extraneous matter contained in linters is composed principally of broken hulls, small motes, a large amount of lint dust, and some oil. The colour of linters varies considerably, the principal shades being grey, yellow, green, greenish-yellow, and brown. White is rarely obtained. -
13 Casein Aralac
Aralac is a protein fibre produced by precipitating casein from skim milk, dissolving it in an alkaline solution, ageing, spinning by extrusion through spinnerets into an acid bath, cutting the continuous filaments into the desired staple lengths, washing, treating with dilute formal dehyde solution and drying. Suitable for use in blends with other fibres such as wool, viscose rayon, acetate rayon and cotton. Included among uses are, alone or in blends in suitings, coatings and dress goods, etc. Also interlinings, blankets, neckties, scarves, socks and underwear. -

15 Cellulose
Cellulose is a constituent of all vegetable matter - cotton, trees, grass, sugar-cane, leaves, etc. It is found in the highest degree of purity in the cotton fibre, and for this reason cotton has played a leading part in the development and rapid growth of the celluloid, rayon and other products. Long staple cotton was used at first, but later on linters were found to produce a very pure cellulose. -
16 Cristalline

17 Lains D'ete

18 Transparent Film Fibres
The transparent cellulose paper used for wrapping food-stuffs and other articles is identical in constitution with viscose rayon, and is prepared in the same way up to the point of spinning in which it is extruded- through a wide and exceedingly fine slit and is coagulated in continuous sheet form. For textile uses the sheet is cut up into very narrow strips as small as 1/80-in. wide when used alone for effect threads or twisted with another thread, and as fine as 1/100-in. wide when reduced to. staple fibre form and mixed with other fibres prior to spinning.Dictionary of the English textile terms > Transparent Film Fibres
